How to get your family to agree with your desicion

I am scheduled to have the gastric bypass surgery on Sept. 19 and some of my family is not supportive. However, my husband is but my family is arguing with about it. I am thinking about postponing my date. They are talking like the worse is going to happen and with any surgery I know there are complications.
