Vitamin D

I am post op 8 years dr. took blood work and found very low in Vit. D so she had me start on 3000 mg. a day as soon as I did I was getting severe pain in mytummy area whether ate or drank or not is it possible anyone has had this problem too, and what did you do I'm thinking maybe my pouch can't absorb that strong Vit.D. Thank You Hope someone can help out there Sherry in AZ.
