CHEST COLD LOTE OF COUGHING WHAT CANI TAKE

help I caught a chest cold and i don't know what to take.i took liquid cold medicine last night and it went right through and out of me.2 trips to the bathroom and it was gone out of me. i have high blood pressure and usually i take mucinex expectorant tablets. can i take a pill this size now.i am two months out of surgery and have lost 43 lb. how big is the opening of my pouce. will these pill eat at my stomach lineing. has anyone else use mucinex tablets to fight a chest cold and cough. alice
