Is this possibly my gallbladder or something else

I have had slight pain under right rib off and on for about a month. last tuesday the pain was so severe that it lasted 12 hours. pain is on right side just under the ribs, not in the chest area, but I do have pain in the back between the shoulder blades. As of today i get very sick feeling when i eat anything and have started having symptoms like i want to burp but can't. I go for a ultrasound for gallstones in 2 days . Does Gall stones or your gallbladder make you sick after you eat? and does it cause a burping sensation when you eat? pain is slight and constant in the rib cage area. any suggestions??
