Post op, when you can get back in a routine, is it difficult?

Just a question, and it's not for 'just the guys',I've worked out with some amazing women in the gym, and they could put me to shame!, it's for anyone who considers themselves fairly strong before surgery. I know that I will be laid up for at least 4 weeks - and lots of little steps to get back into my routine of 20 miles a day on a bicycle, and a 30 min. machine workout. I realize that it will take quite a while, and when I was lifting competively, it was an accepted 'norm' that for every 'day' not lifting, your toll was a 'week' of workouts to regain former strength. I consider myself strong first, and fat second, (some people may argue that (smile;). I've always been the kind of guy that if I wasn't going to be the thin and trim type, I'll be the silent - strong type. I can keep myself busy with walking and such, so boredom is not going to be a question, but how hard was it to get back into a routine post surgery, at least back to an activity point that you were pre-surgery?
