What does Supervised Dieting mean?
I am in the stage of pre-op testing at this time. I am on PA ACCESS and one of the requierments are that I need to have 6 months of supervised documented dieting. So when I was at my PCP the other day I told her this then told her that of all the diets I have been on I have never been on one for 6 months straight. I told her with out this I would not get approval for surgery. I was so upset and even started to cry. She said not to worry she looked at my file and showed me all the things we have tried over the years. Then said I have more than enough supervised documented dieting in over the years. So my question is, Is my PCP right? Do I have 6 months of supervised documented in? Eeven though its not all at one time. And it consists of more than 1 main diet? OR do I need to be on the SAME SUPERVISED DOCUMENTED DIET FOR 6 MONTHS? If you would like to email me that would be great! [email protected]
