How concerned should I be about ketoacidosis
I'm a former diabetic (non-insulin dependent, type 2). After my WLS, my surgeon took me off all of the diabetic medicines I was taking before. Now that I am focusing a lot on protein, water, etc., I'm concerned that the intake of over 60g of protein might cause some kidney problems or ketoacidosis or something. Should I be concerned about this since my "family" on this website has mentioned how important protein is...I'm finished taking diabetic medication for the rest of my life. Any suggestions?
