How do I know it's gone?

I was treated for an H. Pylori infection back in November 2001. My surgery is scheduled for June 2002 (LAP RNY). My stomach or something still hurts...almost like this dreaded infection is trying to come back. I'm thinking of calling the GI doctor or my PCP. I know I'll probably need to clear this REAL SOON, huh? What must I do?
