Can you get a lap band if you have gotten the vertical band and it no longer works?

I had the vertical band surgery and it no longer works after I had two children and now I am back to my old weight of 255. Do anyone have suggestions on what I may be able to do. I paid 10,000 dollars for this surgery and is back to where I started with myh weight. I am so disappointed.
