How zero-fat is a zero-fat liver shrinking diet?

I am due to have a gallbladder removal as a 31stone, 31 yr old man in 3 weeks. My surgeon has put me on a zero-fat diet to shrink my liver pre-surgery - the same as he puts for gastric banding patients. How zero fat is zero fat - less than 5g a day, less than 2g a day? - even veggies have fat in them, so zero zero means total abstinence/liquid foods only
