Anyone 60 or over have lap-band? If so how did it work f or you?

I had lap-band almost 6 years ago don't regret it. Now my mom is looking into it. I am really scared for her because she is very unhealthy. She is 65,diabetic,has COPD, her legs are very sore. It is very hard for her to walk. She feels this is her last hope. I am concern of her age and health. Can anyone give me insight on having the band at 65 and on a lot of meds?
