Very Scared about having my ENDOSCOPY

Next week, I am going for my endoscopy, the very last of my pre-op tests and I am SO SCARED. I am more scared of having the endoscopy than the surgery, mostly because i don't like the idea of having a tube down my throat. Can anyone shed any light on having this procedure? I was told i will be under "conscience sedation"...but i get faint even thinking about the whole thing.
