Just had surgery (GBP) and I am scared I have made a mistake.

I am scared that I should have tried to do it myself -again, instead of this. My surgery was 7/1. I feel sluggish and have some stomach upset and alot a diarhea and feel I have to think about the liquids I need to get in all the time. Is this the way it is always going to be??????
