diverticulum in pouch (revision?)

I will be four years out from RNY july 28th. The past 1 1/2 months I have been having severe abdominal pain with I eat, constant nausea (eating or not). I had an upper GI which showed a diverticulum outpouch in my pouch. Doc called me yesterday and said the we are looking as surgery. He has only seen this happen twice, (once so happened to be a close friend of mine but her's was a bit worse that mine is so far.) They considered her's as a revision, something to do with either the duodenal or jujunum (sp?). What they found is a portion of my pouch "hanging". They are doing an endoscopy tomorrow to check for uclers (which he would treat first before surgery, though none showed up on the Upper GI) and then we would talk about surgery which would consist of going in lap and "trimming" the pouch as he put it. My question is has anyone heard of this? and what is the outcome?
