Gastric bypass, plastic surgery, and tax deduction

Does anyone who has had gastric bypass surgery, subsequent reconstructive (plastic) surgery, have any information about being able to deduct these medical expenses from federal taxes? Generally plastic surgery is disqualified from medical deductions.
