IS THERE MEDICATION THAT YOU TAKE AFTER SURGERY AT HOME TO PREVENT BLOOD CLOTS

I think my biggest concerns are blood clots as they can be fatal embolisms in lungs or legs I think Iam worried more about that then anything and also what are the symtoms of a clot what things should you pay close attention to before and after surgery
