bad breath and body odor

I heard a woman on TV saying she would not have the surgery (350 lbs.) because she was told that she would have really severe bad breath and body odor due to the surgery. I am waiting on insurance approval for my surgery and then heard this!!! Has anyone had this problem?? Was it long term or short term during recovery? Thanks
