Has anyone had surgery at ST. JOHNS HOSPITAL in Queens, NY?

I have my second appointment with my doctor on September 14th. After having seen all of the other doctors, it is likely that I will get my surgery date then. Currently my hospital of choice, St. Francis, is booked up to December/January...by September it'll probably be February! The other hospital that my doc performs the procedure it, St. johns is only backed up 4 - 6 weeks. But, I've heard some bad things about St. Johns. Any feedback?
