Can anyone suggest an easily cleanable blender and a good hand held mixer?

1) I'd like a powerful blender that can do ice and puree etc yet can clean up easily ie without a lot of internal ridges etc. any suggestions? 2) I 've also heard some speak of hand held blenders.. can they be used with chrushed ice (ie from your fridge)? 3) Does anyone recommend having both?
