Dr. Wongsa's Patients: When did you pay the hospital?

I am scheduled to have surgery on May 15th. I have Aetna HMO and my out-of-pocket maximum is $1500. I would like to know from any of Dr. Wongsa's other patients who are having surgery or have had surgery at Cy-Fair hospital, when do you pay this money? Is it paid at the pre-op interview or what? I just want to be prepared. Any info. would help. Also, if anyone else can answer this, please feel free. Thanks!
