Dr. Wongsa's patients: Does he do an upper gi following surgery to check for leaks?

I am having my revision to RNY on May 15th with Dr. Wongsa in Houston, Tx. Right after my VBG I had an intestinal blockage which caused a rupture in my intestines. This required emergency surgery. I am scared I might have something like this again. I didn't have a barium swallow after my VBG. I would like to know from Dr. Wongsa's patients if he does an upper gi when you are in the hospital.
