How soon is too soon to travel after surgery?

Hi, I'm new and devasted. I have an appt. with Dr. James Colberg in Phila. on 6/20/01. My work just informed me I must travel for 4 weeks starting 9/10/01. I would not be alone, but out of the country. If I am lucky enough to have the open RNY by the end of July, is it unreasonable to be expected to travel in 5 weeks. Nothing strenous, but alot of flying. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Please e-mail me. Joyce
