If ou didn't lose alot with your VBG, will you still lose slower with a revision?
I had a VBG in 1997 and lost about 60 lbs out of 150 lbs that I needed to lose. Now I have a staple leak and GERD and I have gained back all but 15 of the 60 lbs. I am having a revision to RNY and have been reading that revisions lose slower than "virgin" WLS patients. I've read that this has to do with the body being unwilling to be "tricked" into losing that quickly again. Since I never really lost much in the first place, is it possible that my body wasn't "tricked" and I might lose better and more quickly with my revision? I would appreciate any information! Thanks
