Over a year out and having a bad bout of diarreah

I am over a year post-op with the DS. I have had no real problems with gas and/or diarreah (nothing unless I eat a REALLY fatty meal). But, this past Wednesday night, I woke up at 10:45 in no pain but had very bad diarreah. It has not stopped since. On Friday I called my surgeon's office, they asked me what I had eaten and suggested some immodium AD. I took it and it did stop the problem but the minute I stop taking it, it comes back and has not gone away. I am not in any "pain" perse, except some gas pain which goes away but am still having sever diarreah. You'd think whatever I ate would certainly be gone by now. Anyone else gone through this?
