Can someone please tell me what to do now?

The waiting is really getting to me. I am sure that it gets to everyone. I called to check on my statis of my request for preapproval and they said they haven't received it yet. I called the doc's office they said they sent it a couple of weeks ago and that they would check into it. The insurance co. said that it should only take 24-48 hours for approval. Should I stay on the doctors office or wait for them to get back with me? I am just tired of waiting. Thanks for all your support and responces!!!!!
