If you had a staple line disruption - what type of staples and how many rows?
Hi! I am scheduled to have a RNY 100 cm bypassed with a surgeon with a very low complication rate partly due to very conservative surgery choices. He won't do a transected stomach because he says it adds to the complications possible due to the surgery. He says that currently the two best methods are transection and 3 double rows of titanium staples - a total of 6 rows. If you had a staple line disruption: What type of surgery did you have? How long before the disruption occured? What type of staples? How many rows did you have? Thanks for the info!!!!!!
