Some have asked about costs..here's my breakdown

I have NC BCBS Teachers /State Employees Major Medical. I had surgery in Va. Beach, Va. Total cost of preop tests hospital stay $18,050.00. Insurance paid $13,600.00. I had to pay $1890.00. About $2500.00 was written off for variuos reasons. I know we have some selfpays out there and this will give you an idea. I was not required to have a psych eval or sleep apnea tests so they'd be extras. Anyway hope this helps. Heck $2000.00 was the best investment I've made on myself and y health. I've watsed at least that much and more on every other gadget, diet, video, pills etc. Anyway, I made my final payment to the hospital and feel like I paid off the house morgage. LOL Lou Ann
