How to drink 64 oz of water postop ??

I was instructed to drink 64 oz of water starting 2 weeks following my RNY surgery. I'm having a difficult time getting it in. The first day I drank more than 30oz, I felt bloated and was so i alot of pain. I couldn't sleep, eat, or do anything to get comfortable. This lasted for about 10 hours. It was awful! Any suggestions?
