Help! I am only 3 weeks post-op (vbg) and I am starving!

I am suppose to be on clear liquids for 2 months, (not even jello is allowed!) and I am having a hard time. I chew food and spit it out just to chew. Has anyone out there had to stay on liquids for that long? How did you make it through? Why do I have to wait so long to eat?
