exclusions in our policy. medically necessary

Ok, They turned me down due to exclusions in our policy. But the woman at the surgeons office said " if medically necessary". Has anyone here been through the same thing? If so how did you proceed? I am a memeber of the yahoo group Cignassqueakywheels, But I thought I would post here as well. Any Help would be appreciated
