I have a buldge in my stomach and wanted to know if it is a hernia?

I have a buldge in my stomach that is a little bigger on the right side. It is just above the belly botton and is about 4 inches wide on the right and 3 inches on the left of the scare(open RNY).I thought that it was just gaining a little weight but my family has mentioned that it sticks out in a lump.I was thinking that it is a hernia and wanted to know others opinion. It is not that hard and it gets bigger and smaller depending on how much I have eaten. Any one have a guess? Thanks Dave
