How soon can you have sex after laproscopic RNY?

I was at the surgeon's today and forgot to ask this very important question. I feel rather silly calling about it and thought I would ask here. I'm in excellent health and 3 weeks post op. I'm still sore and don't expect anything right away, but my husband is chomping at the bit and I don't know when it's safe and he certainly doesn't want to hurt me. Can anyone help?
