Can Dr recommend Personal Trainer and get insurance to pay?

I have a personal trainer in the HJollywood, CA area to help me with the loose skin and exercise issue. He has done WLS patients before, had his own fitness show in Florida, and is certified. He told me that he has had at least two post op patients that he was paid through a health insurance company. Has anyone else heard of or done this?
