Anyone else thrown into night sweats following surgery?

I am not sleeping well at all. Hernia repair was Feb. 12th (WLS was 12/02). Since that time I tend to sleep 3-5 hours at a stretch, awaking totally drenched. The doc at first said fevers are normal after surgery. Don't think this is just a fever. I'm talking drenched--my gown, the covers, the sheets, my pillow (yes, even my hair is wet), etc. Our room is cool, the covers are not too much, etc. A few nights I slept on the sofa downstairs, and it still happened. This didn't happen prior to the surgery. Could surgery have thrown me into early menopause? Had my FSH level tested Monday, and the doc (PCP) sent me the results yesterday. Anyone know what 3.1 means on this? Anyone else experience this? Thanks!
