Iam a yr and a half out from having surgery

and my hair is paper thin, in the front its almost bald. You can see my scalp thats how thin it is. I have tried different items and nothing is helping. I am desperate to know if anyone else has been in my situation and what did you do. I would rather be 135 pounds heavier then look like I do now. PLease help me if you can.
