Shave pubic area before LBL surgery?

I completely forgot to ask my surgeon if I should shave my pubic area prior to my lower body lift on Monday 29th. He covered all other impt aspects of the procedure and answered all my questions yet this one cropped up after I returned home. Any suggestions?
