anything I should know about esophageal ulcers?

I had my pre-op endoscopy yesterday and my surgeon found 4 small ulcers in my esophagus. I was put on Prilosec and I know that the reduction in acid will help my ulcers heal. Is there anything else I should know? Thanks.
