Has anyone with this insurance been approved for WLS?

I called BCBS and they told me that it is covered, but only by meeting the AE Guidelines. I haven't heard of that before. I'm hoping they mean BMI and comorbities. My husband said one of his coworkers wives had it done a few months ago and our insurance covered it. He won't let me call the man and ask him, because he says that would be rude. My husband is very oppposed to me having this surgery, so I suppose I have to go through the steps and see if they will approve.
