When will I be able to drink normally again?

To me this is torture having to take sips of water all day long. Before surgery I was able to drink enough to satisfy my thirst. Now, I am thirsty all the time. And I like water, but when I drink it makes me feel sick when I drink it. I have to drink warm tea (decaf of course). I hate this. When does this stop?
