I've been having odd little cramps in the pouch area

The only thing I can think to liken them to is a Braxton-Hicks contraction. The middle of my abdomen will just clench up for a few seconds at a time then relax. I can't tell if it my pouch or the area around my pouch or what. It isn't always a painful experience...moreso when I am up and moving around. Has anybody else experienced anything like this? I tried to call the Dr. office but they were out to lunch so I have to try back later.
