Info - MRI after RNY

FYI - I had a lumbar MRI tonight but it almost wasn't to be. The technician came back in the room and said there was a dark spot up near my bra line. No bras with wires here. It had to have been the staples in either the stomach, pouch, reconnection to the small intestine or the clips in my old stomach. Fortunately, whichever they were they were just high enough to not block anything in the picture. She said if I would have needed a thoracic spine done it would have been a problem as it would have limited what could be seen. This is a little scary. Hope I never break anything in that area. The metal in the staples were no big deal but what they blocked could have been. <p>So keep this in mind anytime you have x-ray type stuff done in the thoracic area.
