Important question on endometrioses&surgery
I had been having pain when my hubby and I were having sex before he left for Iraq...I told my doc about it at my annual Pap Smear. After my pelvic exam, and after hearing my mom had uterine/endometrial cancer, she told me I have endometriosis. (Which is also why it's been tough for my hubby and I to conceive.) She told me that generally she'd put me on a birth control pill continuously (no placebos) and recommend taking Advil at least an hour before sex to prevent pain-however, since hubby and I had been having quite a time getting pregnant and want to have more children PLUS my mom having endometrial/uterine cancer, she would recommend having the tissue removed. I was kind of surprised and realized after I got home that I should have asked if I could get the tissue removed during my RNY. I plan to call my surgeon tomorrow, but I know he does surgeries Thursday mornings so I won't be able to reach him till afternoon. I wanna know NOW! Can any of you tell me if they can remove the tissue during my RNY? I was planning on having it done lap, but would this now be out of the question? Can anyone enlighten me???
