Is this normal abdominal muscle pain?
Okay, no laughing kids, but I don't think I've ever used my abs sufficiently to know what they should feel like after exercise. I've been doing sit-ups and crunches for the past few days. Today I have persistent pain at about waist level in the middle of my abdomen, with no other symptoms (such as fever or nausea). It's not related to food or water (or constipation), and it feels like when you get the wind knocked out of you and then after you catch your breath it hurts...a dull but very unpleasant pain that has me doubled over at my desk at times. Tylenol relieved it a bit but it came back when it wore off..Does this sound like normal ab pain from working out? If not, does it sound like something else? I'll contact my doc this afternoon if it's not better, but I'm gonna feel a little silly if it turns out to be my flabby abs coming back to life! Thanks- (Lap RNY 23-Jan-2003 246/175)
