shaving vs waxing

Ladies pleas help me out before i have open RNY on june 2nd i do plan to have a pedicure to pretty up the toes before the big day but my question is this is: waxing better than shaving in terms of hair growing back slower? I dont think ill be able to shave my legs after the surgery and probably wont care but i was thinking if waxing had slower hair regrowth i would try it so if anyone knows please let me know thanks for your help
