What Cereals, if any, can we eat post-op?

I love cereal! But in looking at my Post-Op diet suggestions, it is on the list of things to avoid. Is there any type of cereal that is allowed. Is it because of the carbs? Sometimes I just want to grab a small bowl of cereal & that's it!
