When did you resize your rings?

I havent seen this question before, and hubby told me I should ask on here. How long did you wait to re-size your wedding rings? I don't want to not wear them, but I also don't want to get them done too soon. ( I'm still pre=op, my surgery was to be today, but got postponed )I was thinking when they start getting too big to wear, I'd get a really nice chain to put them on until I get them re-sized. Any other options out ther??? ty :-)
