I just found out today I have a hernia, what do I do next?

I am 5mos post have lost 137lbs and I'm45-50 pds from my goal weight. I have this melon bulge right below my breasts an umbilical hernia. When should I get this repaired and will my insurance co. consider paying for a TT at the same time? Will the hernia help get my TT approved? Thanks for your help! Beth
