Anyone had their WLS proctored by another Dr.

Just wondering if anyone had a surgeon perform their surgery (lap or open RNY)as one of his very first. And was this surgeon (hopefully) proctored by another, prominant experienced surgeon? How was your experience? For those who don't know what "to proctor" means it is when another surgeon "teaches" another surgeon who hasn't done a certain kind of surgery (even though they may have years of exp. doing other surgeries). I had a consult with a really nice, compassionate, very exp. lap and GI surgeon and am pretty close to deciding on him (with the proctor right at his side, of course). If so, can you tell me your experiences?
