I need HELP please........

I am pre-op and have a hernia, I was told they will fix it during my wls, the problem is that it's getting bigger and is getting more painful as the days go by. I would rather not have more than one surgery for this. I'm just not sure how long I can hold on. Any one that has had this situation please let me know what you did. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
