Is it ok to add protein at the end of the day for better percentages?
Hey all -- I'm 6 weeks out, lap RNY, and I've been consistently getting in between 60-80 g. of protein. I've been trying to keep my percentages (protein-carb-fat) at 50-25-25, or thereabouts, but on Thanksgiving, I ended up with closer to 35-35-30. I thought about having a protein shake at the end of the day just so my percentages would be better, but I'd already had about 800 calories (which is at the high end of what I've been eating), so I didn't. This made me curious, though, about whether people who watch their percentages have ever added a protein shake at the end of the day to help the numbers. I hope this question makes sense....thanks!
